Grrr.

Good day at school, bad day at home. Don't really feel like going into it right now, but I had some MAJOR fail moments as a parent today. I'm mad at myself for dropping some balls, and yes, I am juggling quite a lot, and as fast as I can, but it's still not acceptable. Totally lost it on Scooby this afternoon. I was actually crying in frustration at not being able to deal with his behavior. And he's a good kid - he really is. I know it could be a lot worse. And I can't even deal with this small amount of bad behavior and attitude. I commented on Facebook that I couldn't WAIT for the teenage years...totally sarcastically, and somehow people thought I meant that sincerely. NO! Not at all. I don't know how I'll be able to handle it when I can't even handle him at 10. I know, cut myself a break, I'm really busy, blah, blah. Tomorrow's another day. But right now, I'm feeling really defeated and directionless.

Umm had a few days lie that with you, if I remember. We both survived. Must be you were trying to get him to practice? Remember his sister's advice.

In my limited experience, bad days like this where you feel like you've fallen down completely are always followed by better days.

Sometimes, I think its ok for a kid to know just how exasperated his mother is.

Based on previous post, you've got a superhuman amount of activity on your shoulders. Anything you can drop, pass off to another or get assistance?

You are a beautiful woman; find a few moments to breathe and talk with God. It will all be better.

Love to you.

We all lose it at times! That does not make you a bad Mother. It means you are a Normal human being! You're a Mother who cares for and loves her family deeply! Apologize, Hug and Hug some more and Hug some more! Of course his behavior has to be dealt with, also.I use to go in the bathroom, lock the door: sometimes scream or cry or pray or just take deep breaths. Your Mom's right---you will both survive. Look how great you turned out! Hang in there--one day at a time.

That should have said "like" in yesterday's comment!
I'm glad you were alive and breathing better today. As Carol said, you are a great Mom doing a super human job. Hang in there.
(Just a thought, have you ever asked him about bullying at school? There is a shocking amount of it out there and younger ones sometimes just don't mention it.)

Have you stopped beating your kid yet?
